Who will be the golden boot winner in the Premier League?

With only 6 games left to go, there are 6-8 players still in contention.

The top 2 players going into the final few games are Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, with both players on 20 goals for the season.

Both players have 6 games left and whilst Manchester City are still battling it out for the league title, Chelsea are still battling it out for Europe; both will be trying to contribute many more crucial goals.

With the current form of both players it’s looking more likely Palmer could be collecting the golden boot, the winger has scored 7 goals in 2 games which these coming both at home to Manchester United and Everton. Whilst Haaland is back scoring but has been injured for a few games.

The other players in contention are Ollie Watkins on 19, Mohammed Salah, Dom Solanke and Alexander Isak on 17 then Son Heung Min and Jarrod Bowen on 15. All 5 of Isak, Solanke, Watkins, Palmer and Bowen are on their highest ever Premier League tallies for a season. With 4 of them being English, Gareth Southgate will have a hard time picking which players out of them he wants for this Summer's Euros.

Most seasons when it gets to this end of the year, there are normally either 1 clear winner or maximum 2.

This year we still have 6 and it just shows how well every team’s attacking players are doing this year. At the moment it’s looking like the winner will need to hit 6 goals with that average being at least a goal per game, which is always a hard ask but these players have shown enough throughout to make this a possibility.

Last year’s winner Haaland scored 36 goals which is looking unlikely for someone this year to match but for the second season in a row he could be collecting the trophy.

Who do you believe will get the golden boot?
