Will Manchester United be able to improve on this season next year?

Whilst coming second this year, it’s looking likely that a few players are set to leave the club.

With the likes of Alessia Russo and Mary Earps not signing new contracts, there is a lot of speculation about their futures.

Back in January, United denied the chance for Russo to join Arsenal for a record 500k. Arsenal are still looking like the club Russo is set to join on a free, if she doesn’t sign a new contract at Man United in the coming weeks.

Over the season Russo scored 10 goals in the Women’s Super League. The Red Devils are still hopeful that the England star will be signing the new contract.

With England goalkeeper, Mary Earps, there is a lot of speculation around her future. Officially the number 1's contract ends this summer, but she does have the chance to extend her contract another year. But so far that hasn’t happen.

Mary Earps was crucial for Manchester United this season, with 14 clean sheets and going onto win the WSL golden glove.

One player that that will not be with United next season is Spanish full back, Ona Batlle. She has recently joined Barcelona on a free after failing to agree a new contract with the club.

United were founded only 5 years ago and are already competing with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, and also having many internationals in their team.

This season they were placed 2nd in the WSL, which is their highest finish in their club’s existence. This is why it is crucial for thethey can keep their best players and carry on progressing as a club and compete with league’s best.

With a lot of players potentially on the move away from Manchester, do you believe they can reciprocate or better their season next year?
