Will an English side reach the final?

Chelsea and Arsenal are looking to make it an all English Champions League final for the first time ever.

Chelsea will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Barcelona when they travel to the Camp Nou for the 2nd leg. An early strike was the difference as Barcelona came away from Stamford Bridge with a 1-0 lead. The narrow deficit leaves it all to play for when they meet again in the return leg.

Barcelona secured their 1-0 lead in the 4th minute of the game through a long-range strike from Caroline Graham Hansen, and although Chelsea had the ball in the net before half-time from Guro Reiten, that was ruled out due to an offside against Sam Kerr.

Ann-Katrin Berger was the busier of the two keepers in the second half and made a great save towards the end to keep her side still in the game.

Chelsea are looking to win the Champions League for the first time in the clubs history while Barcelona have only won it once before in 2021.

Arsenal fought back to earn a draw at Wolfsburg and take a positive result back to the Emirates.

Arsenal came into the first leg with several first team players out with Captain Leah Williamson the most recent added to the list alongside Mead and Meidiema.

Manager Jonas Eidevall had to call up several youngsters from the academy to fill up the bench.

The hosts took a 2-0 advantage in the first 25 minutes through Ewa Pajor and Sveindis Jonsdottir, but the Gunners fought back to take a 2-2 draw back to London for the return leg of the tie thanks to Rafaelles header just before half time and Stina Blackstenius’s well worked equaliser.

Arsenal are looking to make the final for the first time since 2006 while Wolfsburg have lost the three finals they have played in. It will a huge second leg at the Emirates with a record breaking crowd watching on.
