The opening game back will be Leicester City hosting Aston Villa on the 19th of January. This game proves important for both sides with them side by side on the table sitting at 8th and 7th. Winning this game could see the teams going up in the table and making much needed progress for the rest of the 24 season.
Here are the following fixtures for the upcoming matchday:
Friday 19th January
Leicester City Women VS Aston Villa Women
Saturday 20th January
Arsenal Women VS Everton Women
Sunday 21st January
Chelsea Women VS Manchester United Women
Brighton and Hove Albion Women VS Bristol City Women
Manchester City Women VS Liverpool Women
West Ham United Women VS Tottenham Hotspur Women
The weekend fixtures will for sure provide some action with Chelsea hosting Manchester United at stamford bridge, and Manchester City playing Liverpool. A win for the red devils would mean that they would close the gap between them and Arsenal providing they take a loss against Everton on Saturday. If Chelsea get the three points it will see them sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 28 points, but questions are being asked if the blues can keep up their top from with losing key players Sam Kerr.
With Chelsea hosting united at stamford bridge will this give them the home advantage? But then arsenal welcoming Everton to meadow park will be an excellent chance to see arsenals returning injury list growing. It is rumoured that arsenal legend Leah Williamson will be making her comeback sooner than later, perhaps shell enter the emirates when arsenal play Manchester United on the 17th of feb or maybe even sooner?
