What's Next For Mohammed Salah?

The Egyptian king has endured a terrific start to the campaign and is once again chasing the Golden Boot in the Premier League. Salah is again proving to be the catalyst for goals in this Liverpool side and has been since he arrived from Roma in 2017.

The 31-year-old also enjoyed a fantastic international break with a stunning four goals in Egypt's 6-0 thrashing of Djibouti. Salah has been sensational for club and country and is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Egyptian already has twelve goals and four assists in all competitions and has struck up a lethal partnership with Darwin Nunez this season. The 31-year-old has consistently been the top scorer for Jurgen Klopp's men and it doesn't look like its going to be any different this campaign.

Despite his terrific start to the season, the rumours are still circulating around the winger. The Egyptian's contract runs out in the summer of 2025 but after this season he will only have a year left on his deal and the Saudi rumours aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

The Egyptian has been subject to rumours from Saudi Arabia since the summer when Liverpool rejected two bids from Al-Ittihad. Salah opted to stay and Jurgen Klopp is more than grateful for that.

The German manager recently stated, "We need somebody who brings the ball over the line. And he was that again. I couldn't respect that type more. And it's absolutely outstanding, his numbers are crazy. He will never stop. That's his nature. And that's really cool for us."

It's no secret as to why Klopp loves him; he turns up every week and keeps himself in immense shape every season. The 31-year-old looks like he could keep on going and signing another contract at the club would bring him to over a decade with the Reds.

The numbers speak for themselves and even if the Egyptian is sold, there is little to no one in the world right now that could match Salah's numbers that wouldn't break FSG's transfer policy. Liverpool's attack this season has been potent but Salah has become an all round player who creates for his teammates and scores at an outrageous rate.

The winger has mentioned his desire to stay in Merseyside and he could be a figurehead in Jurgen Klopp's new look Liverpool. A new-look midfield has given the Reds a new lease of life this season, following a disappointing finish in the 2022/23 Premier League season.

It would be in the best interests of Liverpool to offer Salah a new contract and solidify his already legendary status at the club. The numbers he puts up and his performances cannot be replaced and the Egyptian can lead the Merseyside Reds to success in Jurgen Klopp's "Liverpool 2.0".
