West Ham face Wolverhampton in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The match will be held at New Bucks Head Stadium on the weekend of the 28-29th January 2023.

The National league North side currently sit top of their league after 10 games.

They have just beaten, league above Newcastle to make it into the fourth round, so they will not be fearing anyone.

Whereas, for the Women’s Super League side, they made it to the semi-finals of the competition, being beaten 4-1 at home to Manchester City at Chigwell Construction Stadium.

The Irons also made it to the final back in 2019 but narrowly lost to Man City, yet again. This was the first time that the Hammers’ played at Wembley and they will be looking to replicate this again this year.

The Hammers are still struggling defensively with an average of 2 goals a game conceded whereas, the home side score on average 3 goals a game.

A player that West Ham will be afraid of is in-form striker Beth Merrick, having scored 6 goals so far in the league. Whilst also scoring two goals in the last round of the FA cup.

For the Irons they will be overjoyed that star CB has recovered from her injury and scored in their last match to Tottenham, after running half the pitch and chipping it over the keeper. This will also help their defensive issues.

With Wolves top of their league it will not be as easy as you think for the WSL side.
