Manchester City defender, Ruby Mace, has moved further up the pitch to become a midfielder, in her recent transfer to bottom of the league Leicester City for the remainder of the season.
The 19 year old’s senior career began in January 2020 with Arsenal, in which she wore the red shirt six times across the year before going on loan to Birmingham City in February 2021.
An exciting 3 year deal came in June 2021 for Mace, when Gareth Taylor signed her for Manchester City. With a total of 20 appearances for the club, her next footballing adventure is now on loan for the next few months with the foxes.
Although Leicester have only recently turned around their points drought, Ruby is set to continue this streak, with her experience at the top end of the Women’s Super League. With an appearance already in the FA Women’s Cup, her increased game time can be only beneficial for the midfielder's career.
Alongside Mace’s club football career, she has gained 10 international caps and a goal for England in the U17, U18 and U19 squad.
Despite this transfer only being until the end of the season, a potentially longer contract may be on the horizon for Ruby Mace.
