Reading Women vs Liverpool Women Match Report

Liverpool women were denied by a late equaliser as they drew 3-3 against Reading at the Select Car Leasing stadium

Katie Stengel’s header gave Liverpool an early lead but the hosts levelled just before Half Time by youngster Tia Primmer.

A great start to the 2nd half from Reading and just over an hour gone, the royals went in front as Natasha Dowie scored against her former club.

Reading didn’t hold onto the lead for long as 4 minutes later, Substitute Megan Campbell provided a cross into the penalty area with Stengel’s header hitting the back of the net to score her 2nd of the game and bring the score level.

Rhiannon Roberts headed in to give Liverpool the lead with 15 to play but Reading reacted back as Substitute Sanne Troelsgaard Nielsen equalised in the 89th minute.

The draw moves Reading 4 points clear of Leicester in the Relegation zone while Liverpool move 5 points clear of the Foxes.
