Only one win in nine games for West Ham Women.

Since the start of the season the Hammers have only managed to beat Brighton and currently sit 11th.

For the majority of last season West Ham struggled scoring but this year it has been totally different. They have managed to score 10 goals in their seven games, but have conceded 16. Since losing Lucy Parker at the end of the year, West Ham have not really filled the gap that she has left.

One of Rehanne Skinner’s first signings, Riko Ueki has already scored three goals in five games in her first season in the WSL. Her striker partner, Viviane Asseyi has also been around the goals, by replicating Ueki's numbers whilst also getting an assist in the league.

Since Skinner has come in West Ham have been playing with a back five, but due to injuries hasn’t been able to be consistent with you she is playing. This would not have helped the Hammers' defensive record.

If there has been one player defensively that deserves her praise it is the Australian and club captain, Mackenzie Arnold. She has played well in every game this season, winning two player of the match awards plus also saving a Chloe Kelly penalty at home to Manchester City.

West Ham will play Arsenal away in their next game. The Gunners currently sit second in the WSL with only one loss all season. Last season, even when the Hammers weren’t playing well, they managed to draw against Arsenal.

If the Hammers can stop leaking goals so easily and keep up their scoring form, they will definitely not end up in a relegation battle this season. Can you see them getting relegated back to the Championship?
