Liverpool linked to Bayern stars

The Reds have only recently completed a midfield rebuild that has seen the team change massively. The acquisitions of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Waturu Endo have reinvigorated the engine room in Jurgen Klopp's midfield, as key figures in Jordan Henderson and Fabinho departed in the summer.

However, the Merseyside Reds could be signing another midfielder. According to Sport BILD, Liverpool have been linked to German talent Jamal Musiala, who has been the shining light for German giants: Bayern Munich.

The dynamic midfielder had a fantastic campaign last year and his current contract runs until 2026. Jamal Musiala had an impressive season with twelve goals and ten assists in the 2022/23 Bundesliga season. He was also named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season in the previous campaign.

His technical dribbling and dynamic approach has caught the eye of all the top clubs in Europe, however, currently being at the best club in Germany it is looking difficult for any club to sign him.

Despite how difficult it may seem to sign the German talent, he and his agent are currently in a stalemate for a new contract with Bayern. The talks are stalling and the Reds have a strong interest in the attacking midfielder. He would be a fantastic addition to the new-look midfield for the Reds and would adding the creativity that hasn't been seen since Phillipe Coutinho departed the club.

After missing out on Jude Bellingham in the summer, the Merseyside Reds could still sign a generational talent, in the form of the German star. Musiala is seen as one of the biggest talents in Germany and would fit in really well at Liverpool, due to him representing England at U-21 the level. Moreover, he decided to represent Germany at the senior level and has been their main star for a few years now.

Pictured here (on the left) is Leroy Sane, who has also recently been linked to the Reds, as a potential replacement for Mohammed Salah, who is rumoured to be leaving next summer. The German international's contract runs out in 2025 and by next summer he will only have a year left on his deal.

The winger previously played for Manchester City and enjoyed a fantastic campaign in the Citizens' record-breaking 100 points Premier League season. The German was electric and his move to Bayern raised the eyebrows of many. However, a part of this move was his unfortunate cruciate ligament injury that led to Pep Guardiola selling him to Bayern in 2020.

The 27-year-old is still in the prime of his career and has been brilliant since joining Bayern and could look to reignite the form that he showed for Manchester City back in 2019. He is on his way to doing that this season, with an impressive six goals in seven games in the Bundesliga.

His electric pace, directness and eye-catching wing play are key contributors to his output, which will be needed if he is to replace the 'Egyptian King' this season.

It is yet to be seen as to whether the Reds will make a move for Sane but Salah is not getting any younger and with the potential addition of Jamal Musiala, Liverpool could be looking to raid the German giants next summer.
