Lauren James stunner gives England all three points.

Writer: Kieran HawesKieran Hawes

England came into this game making 2 changes as Lauren James and Rachel Daly.

Denmark will be coming into this game will have been hoping that they can cause a massive upset. They are coming off a very good 1-0 victory against China.

England started the game off very well as they enjoyed a lot of the possession moving the ball around the pitch through players like Walsh and using Bronze to try and get in behind the Denmark defence.

Daly and James played quite a few nice passes between them and the Denmark defence and then Lauren James turned around and let off a stunner from just outside the box and fires it past Denmark's keeper to put England 1-0 up.

However, Ever since the goal went in Denmark had been dominating the ball and now they seem to be enjoying a lot more freedom with the ball. Pernille Harder seems to be enjoying a lot of the ball and she seems to be the target woman with a lot of the balls going through to her.

However, sadly the dreaded three letters that follow women's football happened after Kiera Walsh went down off the ball without being challenged and immediately went down clutching her knee.

England looked extremely nervous after the injury and just seemed to lose the ball far too quickly and they created chances but that final chance lacked any real quality.

Half Time: England 1-0 Denmark

England started the 2nd half very well and earnt themselves a corner just a few minutes after the kick-off it found the head of Russo and out for another corner and that corner was put just over the bar from Ella Toone.

Lucy Bronze seems to be getting the ball quite a lot and is enjoying some of it but she seems to be giving the ball away a little too often and will be hoping to stop that quickly and help further England's chances of picking up a win.

Denmark was pressing really high and England's players struggled to deal with this and then also the very good Danish defence has not let much get passed her. Denmark had an opportunity off the back of some extremely poor play thanks to Kuhl who had enough time and space to shoot but thankfully Mary Earps was aware of it and made sure she saved it comfortably.

England started to enjoy some more of the ball and had a lot more opportunities and had a lot of shots but nothing that forced any saves out of the Danish keeper.

Denmark has had a few corners but nothing that challenged the keeper but Kuhl had a couple of really good shot but lacked the accuracy.

Denmark then went on the attack and forced Mary Earps into a save after a corner was swung towards the back post. They then had another corner swung into the box but went over the bar.

England made 2 changes as Toone and Russo off and Beth England and Lauren Hemp come on to give England some fresh legs and hopefully get that goal and secure the win.

Beth England was straight into the action after she was found from a cross from Daly but sadly the flick-on went just narrowly past the post and now England looked a lot more threatening with Hemp going down the wing.

Denmark then went on the attack and then had an opportunity and the ball got swung into the box and it came off the outside of the post.

Full Time: England 1-0 Denmark
