Complete dominance in both halves from the Norwegians sends them through to the knockout stages.
Going into the game, the Norwegians knew depending on what happened in the other game, the one certainty of getting through to the knockouts was if they won by 3 goals.
After a lot of pressure was on the Norwegians due to their two bad results before this game, they didn’t take long to edge ahead after a great cross in by Thea Bjelde and Roman Haug runs clear at the back post and volleys it in. It only took her 11 minutes to score her second but this time she ran clear and headed it into the far corner, brilliant assist by Vilde Risa to find her in the box.
There has been a lot of speculation over Caroline Graham Hansen and why she hasn’t been in the team, but it only took her 31 minutes of being in it to show her quality. A brilliant touch and strike from outside the box gave the goalkeeper no chance and the Norwegians have their must needed 3rd goal.
Even though she did score 2 goals in the half Roman Haug will be wondering how she hasn’t gone into half time on a hat trick.

It didn’t take long after the break to add another goal to their tally, but this time it will go down as an own goal by defender, Alicia Barker, after a great controlled cross in by Frida Maanum from the right.
On the 53rd minute, after more pressure by the Norwegians the ball gets laid into the box and after a scramble of legs and a VAR check the referee blows for a penalty after a foul of Guro Reiten. It was her to take the penalty and after a calm finish to the left, Norway have their 5th.
The last 25 minutes got very scrappy which led to Sofia Harrison going in very strong and late on Bjelde which ended up in a red card and the Philippines go down to 10.
After many chances Roman Haug had in the game, she finally has her first World Cup hat trick. After a great ball in by Reiten in the 96th minute it found Roman Haug in space and she headed it pass the goalkeeper- from just outside the 6-yard box- for her third of the game.
With this result Norway are through to the knockouts.
