On the 2nd of March 2024 Darlington played Banbury in the Vanarama League North like any other Saturday. However this game in particular was dedicated to Her Game Too. Her Game Too is a non-profit organisation that promotes gender equality throughout sport, especially football. Darlington Football Club have partnered with this non-profit organisation as a celebration of international women day.

Her Game Too is a non-profit organisation with the aim of eradicating any and all of the sexism and misogyny in football. Football and many other sports are used token primarily male dominated however the time has come for that to change. Women have just as much talent and skill to perform just as well as men do in a whole variety of sports especially football. Her Game Too want women and girls of all ages and backgrounds to feel safe and have confidence in themselves and those around them while participating in football. Its not only on the playing field and pitches that sexism and misogyny occurs it in others areas as well including staff, media workers and fans who may feel worried and anxious when it comes to revealing their opinion as this often results in sexist abuse.

Along as partnering with the organisation Darlington FC have newly appointed a Her Game Too fan ambassador. Being a part of Darlington FC and now Her Game Too (HGT) has allowed the latest ambassador Joanne Cameron to strive to grow the brand name and promote women in sport saying, "HGT needs to be the first point of contact for women and girls who experience sexism and misogyny ... As an ambassador for Her Game Too, I want to actively promote HGT’s vision, tackle sexism in football, promote equality and ensure football is a sport for all. It should be a welcoming environment for everyone."

As part of Darlington FC's dedication and commitment to their new partners they have dedicated one of their league games to Her Game Too to promote women in sport and football. At this game the players wore shirts with the Her Game Too logo on during warmup to show their support along with children and younger teams waving HGT flags. To get the fans more involved with this special occasion and partnership there were interactive activities available such as a selfie board for fans to get creative with and a female strong playlist on at the beginning, half time and full time of the game.
