Can Chelsea win the quadruple?

After beating Arsenal in the FA Cup, they are the only team, with a real chance, that can go onto win the quadruple.

But how do you win the quadruple?

The quadruple is when you win the Champions League, Women’s Super League, the FA Cup and the Continental League Cup.

Chelsea will play Arsenal on Sunday at Selhurst Park in the final of the league cup, after beating West Ham 7-0 in the Semi Final.

After just beating the Gunners in the FA Cup, they will go in as favourites to get one trophy under their belt in the league cup.

The only other side to have won the quadruple is Arsenal back in 2007, when Vik Akers’ was in charge. Her assistant was current Chelsea manager Emma Hayes. Can Hayes go on and do this again?

The draw for the Champions League has just been made and the Blue will be up against the French side Lyon.

Lyon have won the Champions League with a record 8 times. So, Chelsea will have to put in their best performance both home and away to come out with a victory.

Emma Hayes has made it clear that the Champions League is the aim for her side as it is the one trophy they have not managed to win together after all their success.

They were close back in 2020/21 when they got to the final but went onto lose 4-0 to Barcelona in Turin.

In the Women’s Super League, Chelsea are the current holders and are sitting 2nd but with a game in hand over top spot Manchester United. Hayes’ side will play the Red Devils soon in the league, which will be a crucial match for both.

This game will be played on the 12th March at Kingsmeadow.

Sam Kerr has just played 100 games for Chelsea and in her time has scored 78 goals (which on average is 1.2 goals a game). If they can keep her fit throughout this quadruple journey, they will give themselves the best possible chance.

It won’t be easy for Chelsea, but with their current form, they have a good chance to complete their goal.

Do you think the Blues can do it?
